original vintage "Le Bambole" sectional sofa designed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia in the 1970s. This authentic and rare sectional sofa is made of seven modular elements, comprising three armless chairs, two corner elements an to ottomans. Do not underestimate the versatility of such a piece! you can use the elements together in a composition or separately, by having coffee tables or side tables in between elements and so on. Each chair is an independent element not fixed to each other.

The original bottom jute showcases the prestigious B&B brand name, while the B&B Italia label authenticates its origin.

The "Le Bambole" vintage sofa, was designed by acclaimed architect Mario Bellini during the 1970s. This timeless creation, initially introduced in 1972 for C&B Italia, joins Bellini's renowned portfolio alongside the Camaleonda, Amanta, and Scacchi collections. Its revolutionary design features a construction crafted from multi-density polyurethane foam, forming a seamless cushion for unrivaled comfort. Unlike traditional frames and belts, this sofa relies on four metal vertical inserts at the front and back, connected by a lightweight metal base for support. The polyurethane molded structure prioritizes softness and comfort, eliminating bulky bearing structures and rigid corners. The collection featured multiple elements, ranging from armchairs to sectional pieces to chaises, giving users the opportunity to create personalized layouts. It is no surprise that in 1979, the Le Bambole sofa was awarded the Compasso D’Oro award. Today, the sofa is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. One corner element will need restoration, please check the fotos.
