ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is my reinterpretation of Michelangelo’s iconic "Creation of Adam" — an attempt to bring a modern, expressive street-art twist to a timeless masterpiece.
By using my signature double-layer stencil technique, I’ve reimagined the divine spark between God and Adam through explosive colors and spontaneous textures. The vibrant mix of yellow, turquoise, orange, and pink brings new energy and tension to this historic moment, turning it into a visual dialogue between classical art and contemporary expression.
It’s more than a tribute — it’s a conversation between eras, styles, and visions.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I'm Alexandre Petrus (AP), a French street and stencil artist based in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. My creations blend digital drawing, manual stencil cutting, and the expressive freedom of street art. Every piece I produce is a unique original – no prints or editions. Each stencil is cut by hand and reused on constantly evolving backgrounds.
My artistic practice builds bridges between past and present, precision and instinct, pop culture and classical icons. I've painted public murals across France and performed live paintings during weddings and corporate events. My work is rooted in movement, color, and emotion – just like the legends I represent.
