Atlantic Records, to their credit, recognized her talents, surrounding her with name players like Jimi Hendrix Experience survivor Mitch Mitchell, former Blues Image and Iron Butterfly guitarist Mike Pinera, and legendary producer Tom Dowd for Ramatam’s eponymous debut album, released in 1972.
But, though it delivered a proto-metal nugget called “Ask Brother Ask,” still cherished by hard rock archaeologists, the eclectic LP was a total commercial bust, and all three of those luminaries were conspicuously out of the picture by the time Ramatam began working on their sophomore album.De plaat en hoes zijn geweldig
