Het vlaggenschip van BMW: de 7-serie. Autojournalisten noemden de generatie E32 'de beste personenwagen ter wereld', mede dankzij de optionele V12 motor. Een origineel exemplaar met lage kilometerstand is tegenwoordig een zeldzaamheid. Het door ons aangeboden exemplaar betreft één met de meest krachtige M30 6-cilindermotor die verkrijgbaar was met 211 pk. Op 11 mei 1987 is de auto nieuw geleverd in het midden van Duitsland. In 2006 is de auto voorzien van een nieuwe printplaat, hierdoor kan de kilometerstand niet volledig geauthentiseerd worden. De staat van de auto doet echter wel vermoeden dat ook de daadwerkelijke kilometerstand zeer laag is. In 2011 is de BMW geïmporteerd naar Nederland waar hij tot op heden in bezit is van dezelfde eigenaar: een liefhebber. Van zowel zijn tijd in Duitsland als Nederland zijn onderhoudsfacturen aanwezig. Verder is het volgende bij de auto aanwezig: taxatierapport uit 2023, originele verkoopbrochure, radioboekje, instructieboekje, oude Duitse kentekenbewijzen en Nederlandse APK-rapporten. De uitvoerige documentatie duidt op een verleden met goede verzorging. Het lakwerk is volgens het taxatierapport nog volledig origineel. Dit lakwerk betreft de chique originele kleur 'Lachssilber metallic'. Verder is de auto uitgerust met lichtmetalen velgen, een schuifdak, elektrische ramen aan de voor- en achterzijde en elektrisch bedienbare sportstoelen. Andere technische hoogstandjes voor die tijd zijn het ABS-systeem, boordcomputer en tractie controle. Het rijden met de BMW is "Freude am Fahren": de heerlijk soepele 6-cilinder motor brengt de achterwiel aangedreven auto krachtig maar subtiel in beweging. Deze laat zich uitstekend bedienen door de handgeschakelde 5-versnellingsbak, wat puur zeldzaam is voor dit model. Al met al een uitstekende combinatie tussen sportiviteit en comfort.


Algemene informatie over de BMW E32
De E32 werd als tweede generatie 7-serie gebouwd van 1986 tot 1992. In eerste instantie waren 3 motoren beschikbaar waarvan twee 6-cilinder motoren en een V12: de 730i, 735i en 750i. Deze 750i was de eerste leverbare BMW met een V12 en tevens de eerste na-oorlogse Duitse auto die leverbaar was met een V12. Dit kwam de naamsbekendheid van het vlaggenschip extra ten goede, die de concurrentie moest aangaan met de Mercedes-Benz S-klasse. Later werd de 7-serie ook leverbaar met een V8-motor. De M30 motor levert in de 735i een capaciteit van 3.430 cc en levert een vermogen van 211 pk, waardoor de auto in 8,3 seconden naar 100 km/u accelereert en een topsnelheid bereikt van 230 km/u. Het design wordt gekenmerkt door de 'Hofmeister'-knik in de lijn van het achterraam en de L-vormige achterlichten, die bij de E32 voor het eerst werden toegepast om de veiligheid te verbeteren.

BMW's flagship car: the 7 Series. Auto journalists called the E32 generation ‘the best passenger car in the world’, thanks in part to the optional V12 engine. An original example with low mileage is a rarity these days. The one we offer is one with the most powerful M30 6-cylinder engine available with 211 hp. On 11 May 1987, the car was delivered new in central Germany. In 2006, the car was fitted with a new circuit board, as a result the odometer reading cannot be fully authenticated. However, the condition of the car does suggest that the actual mileage is also very low. In 2011, the BMW was imported to the Netherlands where it has been owned by the same owner to this day: an enthusiast. Service invoices from both its time in Germany and the Netherlands are present. Also present with the car are: valuation report from 2023, original sales brochure, radio booklet, instruction booklet, old German registration certificates and Dutch MOT reports. The extensive documentation indicates a past with good care. According to the valuation report, the paintwork is still completely original. This paintwork concerns the chic original colour ‘Lachssilber metallic’. Furthermore, the car is equipped with alloy wheels, a sunroof, front and rear electric windows and electric sports seats. Other technical highlights for the time include the ABS system, on-board computer and traction control. Driving the BMW is ‘Freude am Fahren’: the wonderfully smooth 6-cylinder engine sets the rear-wheel-drive car in motion powerfully but subtly. It is superbly handled by the 5-speed manual gearbox, which is purely rare for this model. All in all, an excellent combination between sportiness and comfort.


General information about the BMW E32
The E32 was built as a second-generation 7-series from 1986 to 1992. Initially, 3 engines were available of which two were 6-cylinder engines and a V12: the 730i, 735i and 750i. This 750i was the first deliverable BMW with a V12 and also the first post-war German car available with a V12. This added to the name recognition of the flagship, which had to compete with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Later, the 7 Series also became available with a V8 engine. In the 735i, the M30 engine delivers a capacity of 3,430 cc and produces 211 hp, allowing the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 km/h. The design is characterised by the ‘Hofmeister’ kink in the line of the rear window and the L-shaped rear lights, which were first used on the E32 to improve safety.
