ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This portrait of Django Reinhardt is my tribute to a jazz legend and a symbol of musical genius. I wanted to capture his unmistakable presence, cigarette in mouth and fingers dancing on the strings — a moment suspended in rhythm. The warm, fiery background evokes the soul of gypsy jazz, full of emotion and improvisation. His resilience and creativity, despite physical limitations, are a constant source of inspiration for me.

I’m a French stencil artist based in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. I create vibrant, hand-cut multi-layer portraits using spray paint on canvas. My work blends pop culture, mythology, endangered wildlife, and classical art through a street-art and pop-art aesthetic. I’ve painted murals all over France and performed live painting at weddings and corporate events. I never produce prints or editions — every artwork is unique. Even when I reuse a stencil, the backgrounds are always different. I see it as originality through repetition.
