ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This artwork is a tribute to Miles Morales, the iconic new generation of Spiderman. For this variation, I chose to reinterpret his usual black-and-red color palette by fusing it with the classic blue and red tones of the original Spiderman — a way of symbolizing the link between generations and the shared values of courage, agility, and justice.
The stencil, entirely hand-drawn and hand-cut, captures Miles mid-leap over an abstract cityscape rendered with raw energy. I used layers of expressive blue textures, with vibrant red splashes, to give a sense of motion, tension, and vitality. It’s a piece full of movement and contrast — both in technique and in meaning.
Each piece I create from this stencil is unique thanks to the spontaneous nature of the backgrounds, making every version a one-of-a-kind original.
