Tijdens de proeverij liet de 2018 Château Rauzan-Gassies al zijn schoonheid zien. Dit wijnjaar heeft een prachtige donkere, diepe kleur met paarse tinten. De neus is intens aromatisch en opent met tonen van zwart fruit, kersen met kirsch, zwarte bessen en zoete specerijen, doorspekt met delicate bloemengeuren (roos), evenals hints van munt en chocolade. Het gehemelte is verfijnd en elegant, met een fantastische structuur van rijpe, fijnkorrelige, mondhullende tannines. Het middengehemelte is heerlijk fruitig en briljant fris. De lange afdronk eindigt met geurige tonen van zwart fruit. Een geweldig wijnjaar voor Rauzan-Gassies.

During the tasting, the 2018 Château Rauzan-Gassies showed all its beauty. This vintage has a beautiful dark, deep color with purple hues. Intensely aromatic, the nose opens with notes of black fruits, cherries with kirsch, blackcurrants and sweet spices, laced with delicate floral scents (rose), as well as hints of mint and chocolate. The palate is refined and elegant, with a fantastic structure of ripe, fine-grained, mouth-hugging tannins. The mid palate is delightfully fruity and brilliantly fresh. The long finish ends with fragrant notes of black fruit. A great vintage for Rauzan-Gassies.
