Winery "Château La Fleur"This distinguished Château ranks among the best in its region. Predominantly made from Merlot, this wine boasts a deep red color and a complex, aromatic structure. The typically ripe tannins deliver a spicy, intense flavor with great length. It is a magnificent wine that carries a modest price tag relative to its status. The international wine press consistently heaps praise on this prized estate owned by aircraft manufacturer Dassault.In 2002, Laurent Dassault had the opportunity to acquire this stunning estate, located right next to his renowned Château Dassault. Leaving nothing to chance, he invested heavily to elevate the quality far above that of his neighbors. The vineyards—spanning 6.5 hectares on the northern edge of the Saint-Émilion appellation—are planted primarily with Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc.Maturation in barrels—25% of which are new oak—for 20 months imparts a refined oak character. With an annual production of 20,000 bottles, La Fleur is modest in scale but exceptional in quality. It is no coincidence that *Wine Spectator* awarded it 91 points, and the *Guide Hachette*—France’s "wine bible"—has bestowed multiple stars upon several vintages. This is Saint-Émilion as it should be: rich and generous, with a spirited edge. A wine to love.
