The property
Located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste produces one of the most representative wines of the appellation. Lacoste-Borie is the estate's second wine.

La vigne
Le vignoble de Grand-Puy-Lacoste couvre 90 hectares de vignes sur des pentes de graves profondes. Parmi eux, 60 hectares sont d'ailleurs plantés en une seule étendue. Les vignes à l'origine de Lacoste-Borie sont plus jeunes que celles du Premier Vin de Grand-Puy-Lacoste, mais sont cultivées avec le même soin.

Le millésime

This 2019 vintage is a great success for Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste. The mild and dry winter allowed an early budbreak. The arrival of cooler temperatures in April caused the vines to lose a slight advance in their vegetative cycle. The particularly hot and dry summer slowed down the vine's growth, and then the slight rains in September allowed the berries to reach perfect ripeness.
