The 16 A version of the well-known STR-1 family of position controllers is the second heaviest version. You may connect multiple motors to it, but the combined current may not exceed 16 A. The STR-1 controls the speed of your single-phase fan in an extremely smooth manner. The beautiful sinusoidal signal of the original mains current is retained and this ensures a smoothly running motor, which in turn ensures a longer lifespan of the fan. With the rotary knob on the front you can choose from 5 positions or speeds. An additional output is provided on which 230 VAC is available as soon as you turn the rotary knob from the zero position. You can connect a valve or in-operation signal lamp to this, for example. The STR-1 series is available in various strengths ranging from 0.8 to 20 A.

5-position speed controller with autotransformer(s)
This is a speed controller for single-phase motors. There are also versions for three-phase motors. The position controllers for single-phase motors have one autotransformer , the versions for three-phase motors have 2 autotransformers . You can select one of the 5 speeds using the built-in switch. Autotransformer technology is very reliable and robust. It generates a motor voltage with a perfect sinusoidal shape, just like the mains voltage. This results in exceptionally quiet motor operation and a longer service life. A special impregnated coating reduces the electrical noise of the autotransformers .The STR-1 is the basic modelSometimes you don't need any extra bells and whistles. In that case, the most basic version of the Sentera position controllers , the STR-1, is your perfect choice. There is also a three-phase version: the STR-4. The STR series has an additional unregulated output (230 VAC). This is active as soon as the motor is switched on. It can be used to control an external operating indicator, a damper, etc.
For example, if the fan is switched off, the dampers are closed. If the fan is active, the damper opens.Rugged housing
The housing of the STR-1 models up to 7.5 A is made of high-quality r-ABS plastic. This material is exceptionally heat-resistant, very tough and offers good protection against impact. The housing can be surface-mounted and offers IP54 protection against the ingress of dirt, dust and moisture. Steel housings are used for the larger models.
