John Bunyan - The Pilgrim's Progress, most carefully collated with the edition containing the author's last additions and corrections, with explanatory notes by William Mason and the Life of the Author by Josiah Conder esq., with twenty-five engravings (Goodall, Floyd, a.o.) - London and Paris, Fisher, Son & Co., [1842-dedication date on the front flyleaf] - sixth edition - original edition anno 1838 - LVII+447p.+15 hors texte steel engravings - Hardcover: leather binding with punched decorative elements on both boards, with a gold-coloured, punched cartouche on both boards, with gold-printed spine, with punched decorative elements on the spine, with a gilt long edge, steel engravings with tracing paper protection sheet - 15x21.90cm - Fair/good copy: both boards loose from the spine at the reading folds, steel engravings with foxing spots, text block fairly clean with an occasional foxing spot, handwritten dedication on the front endpaper, first quire loose in the text block, two steel engravings loose in the text block, wear to the cover edges.
