Baron von Eckhardstein - Ten years at the Court of St. James' 1895-1905 - Translation into english: Prof. George Young (1872-1952) - London, Thornton Butterworth Limited, 1921 - 1st edition - frontispîece+255p. - Hardcover: linen binding with punched logo on the front cover and black printed spine - 15.70x22.40cm - Good copy: signs of use and wear on the cover, spine slightly UV discoloured, some foxing spots on the edges (text block clean), endpapers with strong age discolouration, ex-libris on the front cover 'Denham Court Library'.
  •     Baron Hermann von Eckhardstein [1864-1933]: He entered the diplomatic corps in 1888, serving in London 1891-1901. Though never ambassador, as first secretary he performed most of the functions of one. He resigned from the diplomatic service in 1907.
  •      (In text) : Friedrich August Karl Ferdinand Julius von Holstein (1837–1909) was a civil servant of the German Empire and served as the head of the political department of the German Foreign Office for more than thirty years.
  •      Ex-libris: Denham Court is an estate of the Bowyer family, located in Buckinghamshire. The Bowyer baronetcy, of Denham Court in the County of Buckingham, was created in the Baronetage of England in 1660 for William Bowyer. He represented Buckinghamshire in the House of Commons.
