Technics - SL - 5310 - Fully Automatic Direct Drive

This Technics SL-5310 is a high-end, fully automatic quartz-locked direct drive turntable, built for precision and long-term reliability. It received a full service in June 2025. All functions perform exactly as they should. Speed is stable, automation is smooth, and controls respond accurately. Included is a Shure M91ED cartridge, and the original user manual.The SL-5310 uses Technics’ quartz-locked FG servo motor for exact rotational speed at both 33 and 45 rpm. Start-up is instant, and the illuminated strobe provides clear visual feedback for speed accuracy. The fully automatic system handles tonearm cueing, return, and lift with reliability, while also allowing full manual control.It features a static-balanced S-shaped tonearm with adjustable counterweight and anti-skating. The arm accepts all standard 1/2” mount cartridges. A pitch control wheel allows fine adjustment in the free mode. When set to quartz-lock, the turntable automatically locks into perfect rpm.The SL-5310 also includes record size selection and an auto-repeat function, allowing the record to play continuously or stop after a single cycle. Additional features include a stylus illumination lamp, speed selectors, a start/stop switch and four original spring-loaded feet for proper leveling and isolation.During servicing all moving parts were cleaned and relubricated. The pitch controls were cleaned, and both quartz-lock and variable speed modes were calibrated to perfection. The automatic start/stop mechanism was precisely adjusted, and a new stylus lamp was installed.This unit is fitted with a Shure M91ED cartridge, mounted and aligned, with a stylus in tested good condition – ready to play.The aluminium chassis has a dark grey anodised finish with brushed detailing and is in very good condition. The original dustcover is clear, with a single soft line and only light surface marks from normal use. Hinges are intact and hold the lid open properly.Included are the original counter weight, original anti-static matt and the original 7” adapter.
