NAD apparatuur is erg geliefd bij veel muziekliefhebbers. Bij de ontwikkeling staat de muzikaliteit voorop en dat hoor je terug in de prettige klank van deze CD speler.
Bij deze 501 zijn kosten nog moeite bespaard gebleven en is als basis het Philips CDM-4 loopwerk gebruikt. Dit onverwoestbare loopwerk is gecombineerd met de Philips bitstream DAC.
