Beautiful Pioneer CT-W606DR in serviced, perfectly working and very good/excellent cosmetic condition.
The reason why I state it is not fully excellent, is that there is a round marking on the top cover which is visible depending on the light-setting and a bump on the top. Otherwise at has no scratches or dents and is almost like new. The heads are in great condition, this deck hasn't been used much. The typical flaw with these is that the drive-belt needs replacing, which as a result makes it difficult to rewind or fast-forward tapes, these have been replaced. The main belt was not replaced, as of experience I know that original belts, specifically with these ALPS-mechanisms found in many players of that era, are still better performing then new ones if reconditioned and last a very long time.
The deck plays and records great, thanks to Pioneer's BLE XD auto-calibration system. In addition to that, and what makes these decks so special, is that it features a digital noise reduction system on top of Dolby B/C and a frequency expander (FLEX). This results in lower hiss, and better high-frequency response. Both can be turned off if desired. The deck comes with its original manual in French and English.
