Très beau coffre décoratif d’origine asiatique, en bois de camphrier massif, richement sculpté sur toutes ses faces (motifs floraux et scènes de cavaliers).
Le coffre est entièrement sculpté à la main (full carved) et possède encore son étiquette d’origine à l’intérieur, indiquant une fabrication à Hong Kong, destinée à l’export, années 1950–1960.
Ce coffre appartenait déjà à ma grand-mère avant 1970.
Il est en très bon état général, avec une belle patine d’origine.
Ferrures et charnières en métal patiné, structure solide, intérieur sain.

Antique Asian camphor wood chest, fully hand-carved.
Beautiful antique Asian chest made of solid camphor wood, richly hand-carved on all sides with floral motifs and horseback battle scenes.
The chest is fully hand-carved and still has its original interior label, indicating production in Hong Kong, made for export, circa 1950s–1960s.
This chest already belonged to my grandmother before 1970.
It is in very good overall condition, with a lovely original patina.
Original metal fittings and hinges, solid structure, clean interior.

Antieke Aziatische kist in kamferhout, volledig met de hand gesculpteerd.
Prachtige antieke Aziatische kist in massief kamferhout, rijkelijk met de hand gesculpteerd aan alle zijden met florale motieven en scènes met ruiters.
De kist is volledig handgesneden (full carved) en heeft nog steeds het originele etiket aan de binnenzijde, met vermelding van productie in Hong Kong, voor export, jaren 1950–1960.
Deze kist was reeds in het bezit van mijn grootmoeder vóór 1970.
De staat is zeer goed, met een mooie originele patina.
Origineel metalen beslag en scharnieren, stevige constructie, nette binnenzijde.
