This artwork was hand painted by Peter Green at his home in Canvey Island, Essex, England dating from the years between 2013-2020.

The piece of art is one of the very last artworks Peter Green ever made worldwide.

The psychedelic abstract artwork was made with colored pencils, paint, markers and measures approximately 21 cm x 30 cm (8.2 inches x 11.8 inches).

Peter Green, legendary founder and guitarist of Fleetwood Mac, wrote hits like “Albatross”, “Black Magic Woman”, “Oh Well”, “The Green Manalishi” and “Man Of The World”. Inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1998. Peter Green is worldwide regarded as one of the greatest guitarists and songwriters of all-time. He replaced Eric Clapton in John Mayall And The Blues Breakers in 1966. Despite leaving Fleetwood Mac in 1970, Green’s pioneering talents gained him a legion of faithful fans including the likes of legendary guitarists Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Kirk Hammett, David Gilmour and many more.

Exhibiting from 1958 to the present day, Peter Green’s work is held in collections including the Arts Council, The Victoria and Albert Museum, Walker Art Gallery, Towner Art Gallery, Cecil Higgins Museum, Laing Art Gallery, South London Art Gallery, Birmingham City Art Gallery, University of Wales, National Gallery Kuala Lumpur, Museums of Detroit, Seattle and Pittsburg and numerous private collections.

Peter Green studied at Brighton College of Art and the Institute of Education University of London. Green was elected membership of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 1958. In 1967 he was appointed Head of the post graduate Art Teacher Training Department at Hornsby College of Art and during the 60s and 70s he produced a series of original prints for London Graphic Arts and published two standard printmaking books. During the 70s and 80s Peter was appointed to the Crafts council of Great Britain and chaired the Council’s Education Committee for six years. In 1978 he was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design at Middlesex Polytechnic and was appointed Professor of Art and Design in 1983 (emeritus professor 1991). In 1988 he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
