Albane Monnier - Profondément

Born in 1993, in Paris (FR), Albane Monnier is graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts-Décoratifs (Paris, FR). She develops a protean practice (videos, objects, textiles, printed editions, drawings) with language as the common thread. Using economical, domestic,
and accessible materials in a “house practice”, she explores our intimacies. Her work is influenced by various references, ranging from women’s magazines to sociology, from modernist avant-gardes to DIY tutorials, from medieval literature to cut-up techniques, and includes cinema.
Albane Monnier has participated in several exhibitions in France and abroad such as Vilnius Art Fair with
the gallery Jerome Nivet-Carzon (Vilnius, LT), One’s room (cur. Cléo Verstrepen and Li Jingwen) in Datsuijo (Tokyo, JP), Movement of Wai (cur. Daisy Lambert) in Le Lac (Brussels, BE), Un carré de Jardin (cur. Ami Barak) in Musée des années 30 (Boulogne-Billancourt, FR).
Recently, she completed a project, De Nous à Vous, for the facade of the Orsay Hospital, in collaboration with Manifesto and the city of Orsay
