Exclusief Design Golden Crown Coat stand 1950 RETRO

Extremely luxurious coat stand made in Germany at the end of the fifties towards sixties. The metal pole and circular frames were all gilted in a delicate shiny gold metal which is absolutely stunning. The design golden crown was also attributed because of the beautiful crafted rounded hooks that are fixed on the large surrounding circular frame with solid screws so that they can always be removed for cleaning or and kept on place. As its an extremely large size a removal gets simple with this clever system. The heavy base is made of solid cast iron which can easily hold a pile of coats and is a very nice example of industrial design as well. A smaller circular ring fixed above the base comes with a stunning Mercedes Benz style division also beautifully crafted. All the divisions and hooks are made in a very feminine way, circular and erfectly rounded so no damage could occur to expensive coats, hats or umbrellas that the porters of the high end customers of 5* hotels would put away for them. There are 9 large top hooks which each have a double smaller one and a bit lower there is 4 smaller triple hooks. Can hold a lot of hooks. It has been used , the lower pole part has a bit of damage (see picture) and there is some wear and tear at some places but according to its age its still in a very good condition and the lovely gilding is still very shiny. A one of a kind coat rack that can be dressed to impress.
