The design brings Britannia and Liberty together with equal prominence. Britannia, traditionally associated with British strength and fortitude, is paired with Liberty, the enduring American personification of freedom. The artwork represents a notable collaboration between Gordon Summers, Chief Engraver of The Royal Mint, and Joseph Menna, Chief Engraver of the United States Mint. The composition draws inspiration from traditional court cards, creating a distinctive meeting of British and American numismatic symbolism. The reverse carries The Royal Mint branding together with the bar’s weight and .9999 silver fineness, providing a clean contrast to the more elaborate principal design. With its unusual square format, .9999 fine silver content, collaborative design and limited production of 70,000 pieces, Britannia and Liberty is an attractive collectible issue from The Royal Mint. Please Note:The photographs shown in this listing are marketing and presentation images.
