My most wanted photo, exposed during my first exposition. On my Facebook page it has 18.000 likes and it has been shared 127.000 times worldwide. When I posted it for the first time after our visit in October 2015, I received countless reactions worldwide, from Germany to the US. People where asking the location and dreamt to buy and renovate this manoir to a B&B. As urban explorers we keep the location secret offcourse, we can only reveal it's located around Paris. Even today, 10 years later, I receive mails from architects in France for additional pictures and info to make books / documentaries, so it's a really special location.

Abandoned locations are taken over by nature which claims back it's place and represent a forgotten era in our fast moving society. Most buildings were an expression of utopia in their time and are clever pieces of architecture. Now, they are decayed and forgotten, past meets future...

This artistic type of photography was the best hobby in my life, it's adventurous, teamwork, storytelling and exciting. Each trip is a surprise, we travel into real time capsules.

This fairytale mansion was built around the year 1900 in France. Some say Art Nouveau, others say Gregorian/Victorian style, I leave it in the middle, the most important thing is that it's breathtaking. This mansion has been abandoned since 1999. It has 3 floors and it covers a cave below the mansion. The staircase in the hall is authentic carven out of wood. The manoir is full of nice mosaics, even on the terrace outside. The staircase is the most famous one in a very modern spiral concept which covers all 3 floors including the closed cave. The reason that it has been abandoned is because of a dispute between the old and the current owner, they where both neighbours. If you check the middle of the spiral stairs you see 2 small eyes watching you. You can see the full picture set on my website or FB page. Today the mansion is in bad shape full of graffiti tags, so this photo cannot be taken anymore, enjoy this piece of heritage, a true capture in time.
