"Condon" refers to the early toys made by Condon Toys (founded by Ron Dix), a company that briefly produced a model originally intended for Lesney (the company that later became known for Matchbox). The model was a large site dumper that Lesney developed but never put into production, and instead gave the tooling to Dix when he left in 1952 to start his own company, Condon.
