The STRS1 series position controller, or transformer controller for fans, has a TK protection. It controls the speed of your single-phase fan in an extremely smooth way. The beautiful sinusoidal signal of your mains power is retained and this ensures a smooth running motor which in turn ensures a longer life of the fan. With the rotary knob on the front you can choose from 5 positions or speeds. There is an extra output provided to which 230 VAC ends up as soon as you turn the rotary knob from the zero position. You can connect a valve or in-operation signal lamp to this, for example. This is the smallest model of the STRS1. It can supply a current of up to 1.5 amps. The STRS1 series is available in different strengths ranging from 1.5 to 20 A.

5-position speed controller with autotransformer(s)
The STRS1 is a speed controller for single-phase motors. There is also a version for three-phase motors. The position controllers for single-phase motors have one autotransformer , the versions for three-phase motors have 2 autotransformers . You can select one of the 5 speeds using the built-in switch. Autotransformer technology is very reliable and robust. It generates a motor voltage with a perfect sinusoidal shape, just like the mains voltage. This results in exceptionally quiet motor operation and a longer lifespan. A special impregnated coating reduces the electrical noise of the autotransformers .The STRS1 is the basic model (like the STR-1) but with an additional TK connectionIf your motor is equipped with a TK connection for its thermal protection, you can connect this TK to the STRS1 controller. As soon as the motor overheats, it opens its TK contact, causing the STRS1 to stop supplying power to the motor. After this, you can look for the cause of this overheating. This is usually because the motor draws too much current, which in turn is caused by e.g. a blockage, friction, defective bearings, etc. There is also a three-phase version of the STRS1: the STRS4. If you want even more extra options, such as remote START/STOP control, remote switching between low and high presets, or control via analog input or Modbus, then definitely look here for the single-phase models, and here for the three-phase models.Easy to install!

The STRS series has an additional unregulated output (230 VAC). This is active as soon as the motor is switched on. It can be used to control an external operating indicator, a damper, etc.
For example, if the fan is switched off, the dampers are closed. If the fan is active, the damper opens.Rugged housing
The housing of the STRS-1 models up to 7.5 A is made of high-quality r-ABS plastic. This material is exceptionally heat-resistant, very robust and offers good protection against impacts. The housing can be mounted on a surface and offers IP54 protection against the ingress of dirt, dust and moisture. Steel housings are used for the larger models.
