This is the 5 Amp model of the well-known STR-1 series of position controllers. This series has models ranging from 0.8 to 20 A. With the STR-1 you can control the speed of your single-phase fan. Thanks to the autotransformer technology you deliver a nicely regulated output voltage to your fan. This ensures a smooth running motor and a longer lifespan of the fan. With the rotary knob outside the device you can choose from 5 speeds. An additional output is provided with 230 VAC as soon as you turn the rotary knob from the zero position. You can connect a valve or in-operation signal lamp to this, for example.

5-position speed controller with autotransformer(s)
This is a speed controller for single-phase motors. There are also versions for three-phase motors. The position controllers for single-phase motors have one autotransformer , the versions for three-phase motors have 2 autotransformers . You can select one of the 5 speeds using the built-in switch. Autotransformer technology is very reliable and robust. It generates a motor voltage with a perfect sinusoidal shape, just like the mains voltage. This results in exceptionally quiet motor operation and a longer service life. A special impregnated coating reduces the electrical noise of the autotransformers .The STR-1 is the basic modelSometimes you don't need any extra bells and whistles. In that case, the most basic version of the Sentera position controllers , the STR-1, is your perfect choice. There is also a three-phase version: the STR-4. If you want extra options, such as remote START/STOP control, remote switching between low and high presets, or control via analog input or Modbus, be sure to look here for the single-phase models, and here for the three-phase models.Easy to install!
This fan speed controller requires no configuration. Once installed, it can be used.Unregulated output
The STR series has an additional unregulated output (230 VAC). This is active as soon as the motor is switched on. It can be used to control an external operating indicator, a damper, etc.
For example, if the fan is switched off, the dampers are closed. If the fan is active, the damper opens.Rugged housing
The housing of the STR-1 models up to 7.5 A is made of high-quality r-ABS plastic. This material is exceptionally heat-resistant, very tough and offers good protection against impact. The housing can be surface-mounted and offers IP54 protection against the ingress of dirt, dust and moisture. Steel housings are used for the larger models.
