This is the 1.5 A version of the MTX electronic speed controller, also called a triac controller. With this you can control the speed of single-phase motors up to 1.5A. The MTX is, together with the MTY, the best-selling speed controller and has more than proven its reliability over the years. There are 4 versions depending on the current. With the MTX you control the speed of the fan from high to low, while with the MTY it is from low to high. Connecting multiple fans is possible as long as the current limit is not exceeded. All versions have an additional (unregulated) 230 VAC output / input. They are suitable for both built-in and surface mounting.

Manual speed controlSometimes it is sufficient to be able to manually control the speed of your fan. In that case, the MTX speed controllers are the ideal ally. For information: the counterpart of manual control is the so-called demand control. In this case, we control the fan speed based on measured values from a sensor (e.g. CO2).From high to lowThe MTX series regulates the speed from high to low . The advantage of this is that it always has to pass the maximum speed when you click it out of its zero position (all the way to the left). It is not a bad thing for an engine to run at full speed from time to time. Then you can turn it down to the desired speed. If you still prefer to regulate the speed from low to high, then the MTY speed controller is your solution.Choose your correct current strengthThe MTX is available in 4 versions. Ranging from 0.5 to 4 A. You may control multiple fans simultaneously , as long as the total current consumed does not exceed Imax of the MTX.Proven track recordMeanwhile, the range of manual speed controllers has been extended with the microprocessor-controlled SDX (high to low) and the SDY (low to high). But if you want to go for the price-conscious solution, the MTX and MTY speed controllers are reliable partners. They are the most widely used speed controllers on the market.Adjustable minimum speedIt is not good for an engine to run at a "too low" speed. Thanks to the trimmer inside the device, you can limit the minimum speed to an acceptable value.One housing for various mounting options

As soon as the motor is driven, the 230 VAC supply voltage becomes available on the unregulated output. This output can therefore be used to activate a valve, an indicator light, etc.Disabling the OFF position
In some situations it is advisable that the ventilation cannot or may not be switched off. By connecting the power supply to the unregulated output (L1 and N), the OFF position (fully counterclockwise) can be switched off. In that case, the L terminal is not used.
