With this Analog to Modbus RTU converter, suitable for DIN rail mounting, you can connect your analog devices to a Modbus network. The measured values of the 4 x analog / modulating input (0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / PWM) and 4 x analog input (0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA) can then be read out in the various Modbus registers. Power supply via 'Power over Modbus': both supply voltage and Modbus RTU communication via one RJ45 connector. Power consumption: 1 W (24 VDC).

How does it work?
Sentera devices communicate with each other via the Modbus RTU communication protocol , which works via RS485 technology . In some cases it is necessary to communicate with non-Sentera products, such as valve actuators, EC fans, etc. These external devices can be seamlessly connected via the DADCM-08 module .
External devices can send information via the 8 analog inputs of this module. The default input type for these inputs is 0-10 VDC. However, the input type is adjustable via the Modbus RTU protocol. For 4 of the 8 analog inputs you can choose from the following options: 0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA or 0-100% PWM, while the remaining 4 inputs can be configured for 0-10 VDC or 0-20 mA input signals.
The values of the incoming analog input signals are converted into values that are stored in 8 Modbus input registers . These input registers can be read by a Modbus Master device .Modbus RTU
Modbus RTU over RS485 is a widely used serial communication protocol. It is a method for transmitting data between devices over a serial communication network using RS485 technology. Modbus RTU is often used in industrial and automation applications to enable the reliable and standardized exchange of information between different devices, such as sensors, controllers and actuators.
The DADCM-08 analog to Modbus converter is a device that enables the integration of analog signals into a Modbus communication network . It allows analog signals from sensors or other devices to be converted into digital Modbus registers for monitoring and control purposes. The converter connects to analog input signals, digitizes them and communicates the digital data via the Modbus protocol.
The converter communicates with other Modbus devices or a Modbus master via the Modbus protocol. It usually acts as a Modbus slave , allowing data to be read or written via Modbus function codes.Easy Wiring
Modbus RTU communication and 24VDC power for this module are both provided via the RJ45 connector . Wiring is done using a standard Ethernet cable. Alternatively, you can crimp your own cable with an RJ45 connector. It is important to note that using a 24VDC Power over Modbus (PoM) power supply requires compliance with the correct power and wiring standards to ensure safe and reliable operation.
The unit has two RJ45 connectors, one for PoM and one for connecting to other Modbus modules.
To power the converter, we have developed a specially designed 24VDC DIN rail mount power supply module.
The analog input signals are connected intuitively.LED indications
The unit housing has three green LED indicators for power, data transmission and data reception. By default, each of the two RJ45 sockets has two green LEDs . When flashing, they indicate active Modbus RTU communication.DIN Rail Enclosure

To ensure quality, we design and manufacture the enclosure ourselves in our own factory. The enclosure is durable and installation is very simple - mount the device on the rail and lock it with the clip on the bottom of the device. The enclosure has an IP30
degree of protection - protected against dirt and dust. The material used is a high-quality PC-ABS plastic mixture that combines the toughness and heat resistance of PC with the flexibility and processability of ABS.
