This dual HVAC sensor with display measures the differential pressure within the range of 0 to 2 kPa. In addition, you can also measure the air flow with it. 2 sets of pressure hoses can be connected to it. This allows 2 measurements to be performed simultaneously. The measured values are available via the analog outputs and via Modbus RTU communication. The output type of the analog outputs is selectable between 0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA or 0-100% PWM. The range and all other settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. This device operates on 24 VAC or VDC supply voltage. It can be connected with three wires, which is useful in existing situations.

Measure or control?This sensor's output signal will increase proportionally within the set range. If it were e.g. CO2 or relative humidity, then it is perfectly possible to control e.g. a valve or a fan in this way. The more CO2, the more ventilation. Or the more moisture, the further the extractor valve opens.However, when it comes to differential pressure, it is unlikely that proportional control is used. Usually, pressure control does not operate within a range , but rather at a set value , a "set point". A differential pressure controller will then, for example, control a fan in such a way that the set point is maintained.Since this device does not have a set point (but does have a range), it is not a controller, but a sensor or transmitter . They are usually used to transmit the measured values to an external control or regulation system.Differential pressure or air volume?
Technically, this sensor only measures the differential pressure [Pa]. However, if you have the K-factor of your fan, the air flow [m³/h] can also be calculated. It is sufficient to enter this K-factor in the Modbus register provided for this purpose. You then simply perform a pressure measurement. So using the connection sets PSET-PVC-200 or PSET-QF-200. This sensor performs 2 measurements simultaneously. So you could measure the saturation of 2 filters simultaneously by measuring the differential pressure across those filters.Analogue output and Modbus
To know the value measured by this sensor, there are 2 possibilities. Either you read it out in the Modbus registers, or you read it out via the analogue outputs. This proportionally transmits the measured pressure difference, the air flow or the air speed. The standard range of this sensor is 0 to 2,000 Pa. By default, the output sends 0 V at 0 Pa and 10 V at 2 kPa. This range, the output type (0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100% PWM) and all other settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.The device operates on 24 VAC or 24 VDCThe terminals (V-) of the power supply and (GND) of the output are internally connected. This means that only 3-wire operation is allowed. This makes this transmitter suitable for use in existing 3-wire installations.High-quality housing
