With its smart algorithm and universal 24 volt power supply, the RCVCG can be switched on as an intelligent standalone controller for your ventilation. But it doesn't stop there. Thanks to the built-in Modbus RTU communication, you can also use it in your ventilation network and even in combination with your building management system. The sensor measures temperature, humidity and TVOC. You determine to what extent it takes these values into account when calculating the universal output signal (0-10 V / 0-20 mA / PWM), with which it controls the ventilation.

Like all intelligent room sensors from Sentera, it is equipped with a built-in temperature and relative humidity sensor. But on top of that, the RCVC also has a built-in TVOC sensor element.Volatile organic compounds (
VOCs) are a large group of chemicals found in many of the products we use to build and maintain our homes and buildings. Once inside a building, they are released or evaporate into the indoor air we breathe. Common examples of VOCs found in our daily lives include: benzene, xylene, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, and methylene chloride. Common sources include paints or varnishes, new carpets, adhesives, cleaning products, smoking, dry cleaning, photocopiers, building materials such as foam, and burning wood. The risk of health problems from inhaling a chemical depends on the exact chemical compound, the concentration, and the length of exposure. Breathing in low levels of VOCs over an extended period of time may increase the risk of health problems for some people, especially those with asthma or those who are particularly sensitive to chemicals. Since VOCs refer to a group of chemicals, each of them has its own toxicity and potential to cause different health effects. Inhaling high levels of VOCs is known to cause eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches, drowsiness, nausea, impaired concentration and fatigue Three-wire connection
This sensor is available in different versions depending on the required power supply. This RCVCG version can be connected with three wires. This is very useful as a replacement in existing installations.Additional light sensor
The Sentera room sensors are already equipped with a light sensor that measures the ambient light. You can save and retrieve the measured values. And in later, or existing Modbus-compatible, applications you will even be able to adapt the algorithm according to the ambient light . Permanent visual control
Thanks to the integrated and dimmable LEDs, you can see at a glance whether the measured value is acceptable, or whether it is in the warning zone or even in the danger zone . Not every situation is the same, so you determine the values at which the LEDs change colour.Smart constructionThe RCxxx series are suitable for surface mounting. But in a smart way. The mounting is designed in such a way that it fits perfectly over a standard 68 mm flush-mounting box. You determine the " proportions " between the different measured values. By this we mean that you determine whether and to what extent the different measured values weigh in the final result. So if you want only the moisture and VOC measurement to be taken into account, but not the temperature, then that is perfectly possible.
