This version of the multifunctional room sensor measures temperature, humidity, TVOC (volatile organic compounds) and ambient light. It has an RJ45 connector over which both data and power are distributed. But because there is no digital-to-analog (D/A) conversion, it does not have the classic terminal blocks. And therefore also no analog output signal. This makes it a good buy. With the right firmware, it can be combined with Modbus fans. This -M version of the RSVC series is ideal as a building block of a Sentera PoM network.

Indoor air quality based on temperature, humidity and TVOC
Controlling indoor air quality is not easy. You would like the sensor to take everything into account. Well, this sensor from Sentera can register several measurements . And for each of these measurements it has a separate output. You could use one of these outputs to control an EC fan, a control valve or a speed controller for AC fans. But you can also send multiple outputs to your air handling unit or third party external controller. Like all recent room sensors from Sentera, it is equipped with a built-in temperature and relative humidity sensor. On top of that, it also has a built-in TVOC sensor element with which it measures the total of volatile organic compounds in your home. Volatile organic compounds ( VOCs) are a large group of chemicals that are found in many products that we use to build and maintain our homes and buildings. Once they are inside a building, they are released or evaporate into the indoor air that we breathe. Common examples of VOCs that are present in our daily lives include: benzene, xylene, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, and methylene chloride. Typical sources include paints or varnishes, new carpets, glues, cleaning products, smoking, dry cleaning, photocopiers, building materials such as foam, and burning wood. The risk of health problems from inhaling a chemical depends on the exact chemical compound, the concentration, and the duration of exposure. Inhaling low levels of VOCs over a long period of time can increase the risk of health problems for some people, especially those with asthma or who are particularly sensitive to chemicals. Since VOCs refer to a group of chemicals, each of them has its own toxicity and potential to cause different health effects. Inhaling high levels of VOCs has been known to cause eye, nose, and throat irritation, headaches, drowsiness, nausea, impaired concentration, and fatigue

POM power supply
This sensor is available in different versions depending on the required power supply. The power supply and data of this version are via an RJ45 connection. There is no analogue output. This makes this sensor easy to connect and inexpensive to purchase. Ideal as part of a network.Additional light sensor
The Sentera room sensors are already equipped with a light sensor that measures the ambient light. You can save and retrieve the measured values. And in later, or existing Modbus-compatible, applications you will even be able to adapt the algorithm according to the ambient light .Permanent visual control

The mounting is designed in such a way that it fits perfectly over a standard 68 mm flush-mounting box. For both temperature, relative humidity and VOC you can determine the range within which the output signal moves proportionally. This signal can then be used as a signal input for an air handling unit or controller. But if you simply want to control proportionally, it is perfectly possible to directly control an EC motor or valve drive with it.
