It’s a halfcard linemodule designed for the Cisco Catalyst 4900M switch chassis. As a halfcard, it plugs into one of the expansion slots of the 4900M chassis — allowing modular expansion of the switch’s port capacity

• Convertible to 16 × 1Gigabit ports: by using the optional converter module (TwinGig + appropriate SFP transceivers), each 10Gb port can be converted into two 1Gb ports
• Fullduplex mode, port speeds up to 10 Gbps per port.
• Wirespeed Layer2 and Layer3 switching (when installed in a compatible 4900M chassis).
