Far outside of the boundaries of the CrossGen universe lies another realm, a chaotic universe ruled by the dark god Charon and his Negation empire. Stumbling across the CrossGen universe, Charon discovers a wealth of power and potential ripe for conquest. Deciding that further observation is required, he arranges the abduction and imprisonment of inhabitants from the various CrossGen worlds. One of these inhabitants was Obregon Kaine, a former soldier and natural leader.

Realizing that escape was the only option, Kaine organized a vast uprising which led to the escape of himself and a small group of fellow prisoners. Now on the run from the Negation forces in an unknown universe, Kaine must lead this band of fugitives through space in a desperate attempt to survive long enough to find a way to return home.
