  •      Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832–1898), better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English author, poet, mathematician and photographer. His most notable works are Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass (1871). He was noted for his facility with word play, logic, and fantasy.
  •      Stuart Dodgson Collingwood (1870–1937) was an English clergyman and headmaster. He wrote two books about his uncle, Lewis Carroll.
  •      The Unknown Lewis Carroll is the unabridged reissue of Carroll's original work from 1899 with the then title: "The Lewis Carroll Picture Book". Although Lewis Carroll was best known for his widely-published Wonderland fantasies, he was also a writer of superior humor, fantasy and mathematical recreations that appeared only in very limited pamphlets or copies. This book by Carroll's nephew and authorized biographer, gathers together the best of this privately printed humor and recreation, and contains editorial comments. Included is 'The Rectory Umbrella' and other works.
