•     William Henry Stevenson (1924–2013) was a British-born Canadian author and journalist.

In 1976 Stevenson released the book, 90 Minutes at Entebbe (non-fiction). It was about Operation Entebbe, an operation where Israeli commandos landed at night at Entebbe Airport in Uganda and succeeded in rescuing the passengers of an airliner hi-jacked by Palestinian militants, while incurring very few casualties. Stevenson's "instant book" was written, edited, printed and available for sale within weeks of the event it described

•     Uri Dan (1935-2006) in Kfar Saba, was an Israeli journalist/photographer, writer and director. He is known in particular for his friendship and his closeness with Ariel Sharon.
•     Operation Entebbe took place on the night of July 3 to July 4, 1976 at Entebbe airport in Uganda. It was a liberation action by the Israel Defense Forces to free Israeli civilians and other Jewish hostages who had been taken hostage by German and Palestinian terrorists after fleeing from Athens. The hostages had been separated from the other passengers by the terrorists because of their Jewish origins.
•      Note: Operation Thunderbolt, known in Israel as Mivtsa Yonatan, also called Entebbe: Operation Thunderbolt in the US, is a 1977 Israeli film directed and co-written by Menahem Golan, starring Klaus Kinski, Yehoram Gaon and Sybil Danning. The plot is based on the events that took place in 1976.
