De Triumph TR7, gelanceerd in 1974, was een compacte sportwagen die bekend stond om zijn opvallende wigvormige ontwerp, dat sterk afweek van zijn voorgangers. Het werd geproduceerd door British Leyland en was voorzien van een 2,0-liter viercilinder-motor die prima prestaties leverde. De productie eindigde in 1981, en de TR7 wordt herinnerd als een interessante maar controversiële toevoeging aan de Triumph-geschiedenis, met een korte levensduur en wisselende populariteit onder autoliefhebbers.

Deze origineel Amerikaans geleverde Triumph TR7 uit 1980 is de ideale tour-auto. Deze TR7 kwam per boot aan in Rotterdam en werd op 13 augustus 1997 voor het eerst op Nederlands kenteken geregistreerd. Onder de motorkap schuilt een 2.0 liter 4-cilinder die gekoppeld is aan een handgeschakelde 5-versnellingsbak.
Hij rijdt geweldig en schakelt moeiteloos, waardoor elke rit een waar genot is. De prachtige blauw metallic lak, gecombineerd met het stijlvolle bruine interieur wat er in 1996 nieuw is ingekomen. en de donkerblauwe soft-top, maakt deze auto tot een echte eye catcher.
Het beige tapijt en deurpanelen voegen een vleugje klasse toe. Het zwarte dashboard is voorzien van een reeks meters, waaronder temperatuur, tijd, toeren, benzine, volt en snelheid. Deze TR7 wordt geleverd met een tonneau-cover, een reservewiel in de kofferbak en een chroom koffer-rek achterop. De pop-up koplampen maken het plaatje compleet.
Deze auto is goed onderhouden en wordt geleverd met een compleet pakket aan documentatie, waaronder een tellerrapport, diverse keuringen, facturen van Triumph specialist Nico Baas en papieren van de import uit Amerika.

It was produced by British Leyland and featured a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that delivered fine performance. Production ended in 1981, and the TR7 is remembered as an interesting but controversial addition to Triumph history, with a short lifespan and varying popularity among car enthusiasts.

This original 1980 American-delivered Triumph TR7 is the ideal touring car. This TR7 arrived in Rotterdam by boat and was first registered on Dutch registration on 13 August 1997. Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
