Shelby GT500KR 1968

Price on request --- King of the road version of the famous Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The original version of this mighty muscle car, introduced in february '68. This example is in lovely condition and drives amazing.

Exterior:
The exterior of the GT500 is in its original Lime Gold color with white decals on the side. Under the car are the original Shelby alloy wheels with Goodyear tires. Furthermore, the car is equipped with beautiful chrome that is in good condition, such as the bumpers, window frames and mirror.

Interior:
The interior of this Shelby GT500 is in beautiful condition, finished in Saddle brown. 1,452 models of the 1968 Mustang Shelby GT500KR were made but only six came with a saddle brown interior. One of them was recently listed on eBay, where the seller explained that the model is so rare that even Carroll Shelby had asked the previous owner if he could buy it.
The dashboard is also completely original and is equipped with its original AM Radio, original counters and is finished with a wood look. Furthermore, the interior is in original condition. The GT500 also has a factory roll bar, which also has the seat belts mounted on it.

Mechanics:
The '68 Shelby GT500KR comes equipped with a Cobra Jet V8 engine that's rated 335 horsepower, but really puts out 435 horsepower. (Automakers used to downplay horsepower for insurance purposes). This power is transferred by a very well shifting C-6 Select Shift Cruise-O-matic automatic gearbox. This example drives, shifts and brakes as it should.
