This antique Bell and Howell camera model no. 70DR, AKA Filmo is still highly sought after for filming. The model D beginning in 1927, was the first film camera to shoot a range of speeds up to 64 frames per second. This camera also introduced a revolving drum to its three lens viewfinder. Filmo changed the course of film finding its biggest impacts on aerial cinematography. Stunt pilot Art Scholl shot many of the first aerial scenes for television with this camera. Both the U. S. Air Force and Army used this camera to capture the majority of the footage we have from WWII. Filmo also paved the way for television news outlets to venture from the office and incorporate film into their nightly news broadcasts. Included with this camera is its antique combination locking leather case.
