This Pioneer SG540 is a fully functional 7-band stereo graphic equalizer from 1985. The unit is in great condition, with all LED-indicators shining bright. The SG-540 is designed for precise tone shaping. It offers low noise, wide frequency response, and classic Pioneer aesthetics. Each channel offers 7 frequency bands: 60Hz, 150Hz, 400Hz, 1kHz, 2.4kHz, 6kHz, and 15kHz – with a ±10dB control range per band. The layout is straightforward, with responsive sliders and clear LED indicators for both channels.This unit features a flat frequency response from 5Hz to 70kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio of 100dB, and total harmonic distortion of just 0.005%, making it suitable for both hi-fi listening and system calibration.Output level is 1V nominal (6V max), with unity gain. It connects easily between your amplifier and source or in a tape monitor loop, and works equally well in vintage or modern setups.Cosmetically, the unit retains its classic mid-‘80s Pioneer design with a black finish, silver sliders, and a clean layout.
