It is a very slim and rectangular shaped real Italian walnut cabinet with a huge separated power supply, connected to the amplifier via a monstrous cable. The front panel has two walnut knobs placed (volume and source selector) and two switches (on/off and source/tape monitor). The Sonus Faber Quid is a lovely piece of electronic art that gets more beautiful as time pass as the walnut gets darker.The Sonus Faber Quid is a fast sounding and dynamically explosive amplifier. It can virtually drive many speakers, bringing new life even to the laziest and slowest ones. Compared with other amplifiers, it outperforms contenders dynamically, clarity and also in agility. It is powerful and produces sounds louder that what is expected. It has very detailed highs which, with mediocre speakers, may result even a little too bright.
