This is a single-stroke CLA-ed Leica M3 with a very special feature.
The CLA was performed on 20/08/2024 by Will van Manen (Kamera-Service) in the Netherlands, and the warranty cover it for six months after that.
One of the Leica M3's most critical design flaws is that the rangefinder does not couple closer than 0.7 meters. The technicians deliberately modified this during the CLA, and now the rangefinder patch gives focus confirmation down to 0.7, which is very convenient when using more modern lenses. The lack of confirmation below 1 meter on the non-adjusted M3 creates a dead zone for focus, especially relevant for closer distances.
This makes a remarkably unique M3; not only is CLA, which means that the viewfinder is in pristine condition, dust-free, and still covered by warranty, but it also has this very special feature that rarely any other M3 has.
