Vintage 1950s Japanese Mini Zodiac Kites Set of 3 - Showa Retro New Year Decor

Description: An authentic lot of three vintage Japanese miniature paper decoration kites (Tako) dating back to the 1950s (Showa Era). These traditional kites are beautifully constructed with classic split-bamboo framework and printed washi paper. Each kite depicts a different animal from the Japanese Lunar Zodiac (Eto), traditionally flown or displayed during New Year celebrations to bring good fortune and family safety.

Included Animals:
Monkey (Saru): Depicts a Japanese macaque, a symbol of cleverness and protection.
Sheep/Ram (Hitsuji): Features a striking white ram with a mountain backdrop, a symbol of peace.
Horse (Uma): Represents energy, strength, and smooth progression.
Each mini kite features a decorative ceremonial white string (mizuhiki) bunched at the front and lucky kanji seals for protection and longevity.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The paper graphics and colors remain incredibly vibrant and clean. They have been preserved in their original vintage cellophane protective wrappers, meaning they have never been exposed to smoke, moisture, or dust.
