Gely Dockside Crane uit de jaren dertig, ongepakt maar werkend, een tinnen speelgoedkraan met wind-up mechanisme.
DESCRIPTION: A unique tin toy crane from the Gely brand (Georg Lely Nuremberg). This unique mechanical toy can be rotated using the joystick, and the hook can be raised and lowered. To do this, it must first be wound up using the included key. Watching the mechanism in action is a delight every time. The crane dates from 1930 and was made in Germany. In short, a unique toy for the enthusiast. Georg Levy produced tin car toys under the Kienberger name Kiko until 1920, after which he founded his own company, Gely. He sold his company and left Germany in the 1930s, but resumed production under the name Nuremberger Tin Toy Factory. DIMENSIONS: Height: 45cm Width: 38cm Depth: 14cm CONDITION: Good working condition. The rope is old and breaks easily. To keep it as original as possible, I haven't replaced this, although it's easily done if desired. Lowering it might require more weight than it currently does, but all other functions still work well. The key is not the original, but it does fit. A video of the crane working is available. PICKUP OR SHIPPING: This item can be picked up from the showroom in Amsterdam South by appointment. This item can also be shipped for the asking price, as stated in the advertisement. All shipments are carefully and securely packaged. WELCOME TO THE SHOWROOM: You are welcome to visit the 500m² showroom in Amsterdam South, opposite the UMC hospital. It is easily accessible by public transport and by car. It is located right next to the A10 (ring road). The showroom is outside the low-emission zone.
