In this well preserved condition a very rare director n°7 mk2 to direct the artillery gun sight during wwii. Completely marked on the director and dated 1943 with broad arrow. Used to determine the angle and directon that war guns were to be set at. Its made of unpolished brass and gunmetal (this example has probably never been painted, there is absolutely no paint traces) the base is also marked with base suporting nrs 6 to 7b directors m.k. Iii and war triangle sign. It was designed to use on a tripod or to screw on a flat surface. Wooden hectagonal plate for easy display included. Several optical lenses of which 2 round binolucar type lenses and a red rectangular one which all look very clear. Minor dust inside the eeast west circular measure. Horizontal and vertical display.
Level gauge and a small round spirit level. We re not experts but everything looks in an extreme good condition. Every moving part is moving very flexible. No rust or other oxidations.
Overall condition is extremely well and extremely heavy. Has been in the family for nearly 50 years. Very collectable piece.
