NL-De complete levering van het Clipper Kompas omvat het display instrument, de fluxgate sensor en de montage kit. Het kompas is ontworpen voor een boordnet spanning van 12 volt.
CONTROLE VOORAF
Controleer voorafgaand aan de montage of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en of het instrument niet is beschadigd. Sluit de sensor aan op het display instrument en sluit de display unit aan op 12 volt. Het display dient dan een aanwijzing te tonen.
SENSOR INSTALLATIE
De sensor detecteert de richting van het zwakke aardmagnetische veld en is dus gevoelig voor andere magnetische velden die op de accuratesse van de unit van invloed kunnen zijn. Enige voorzorg bij het opstellen is daarom belangrijk. Kies een locatie, zo ver mogelijk verwijderd van metalen objecten zoals machines, en zaken zoals motoren of luidsprekers die voorzien zijn van sterke permanente magneten...

ENG-The Clipper Compass is a fully electronic compass with remote fluxgate sensor. The large clear display has 7 levels of illumination and gives True or magnetic heading. The sensor which is gimballed for plus/minus 45 degrees of pitch and roll, is mounted in a position where stray magnetic fields are at a minimum. An electronic auto calibration then cancels out small errors.
Steer to course function
When the steering function is selected a series of chevrons accumulate showing the magnitude and direction of the steering error. To stay on course simply turn the wheel in the direction of the chevrons until they are extinguished. The steering sensitivity can be preset by the user. An off course alarm provides a safety feature when not at the helm. If the heading deviates by more than a preset amount then the alarm will sound.
