The vast majority of Vidigal wines, namely those from the Lisbon wine region, are produced very close to the Atlantic Ocean, about 30 km away, and are therefore heavily influenced by the Atlantic breezes, resulting in fresh and always very fruity wines.
The main grape varieties used in Vidigal wines are: Touriga Nacional, Aragonez (Tinta Roriz), Castelão, Syrah, and Cabernet.
Winemaking is done by crushing and total destemming, classic fermentation, and aging in stainless steel at controlled temperature.
In the mouth, a wine of garnet color, intense and deep, with notes of dark chocolate, mint, coffee beans, and tobacco leaves. Of a certain complexity, it has excellent flavor breadth with blackberries and tobacco leaves, as well as an extremely long and persistent finish.
