Met de hand vervaardigd in het Verenigd Koninkrijk door de Davies familie, biedt deze eiken display twee lange neus miniatuurclubs en een met de hand beschilderde golfer met St Andrews-taferelen, volgens traditionele technieken.
Beautiful oak wood golf club display with 3 miniature golf clubs, handmade! (NOT in China but the U.K.)These accurate miniature sets were made bij the Davies family.These are faithful miniature replicas of long-nosed golf clubs. They are:Play Clubs by W.Dunn c.1870Putter by H.Philp c.1840They are hand-made by the Davies family of Westward Ho!, who through a continuous line of clubmaking apprentices, can trace their golfing heritage back to the early Scottish feather ball and golf club makers. The miniatures are made using the same traditional methods and materials employed in full-size clubs of this era.The wooden heads ( long nose heads )are made of beech, and ‘spliced’ to hickory shafts. The joints are then bound with pitched twine.The shaft is gripped with fine calfskin and bound with twine.There is lot's of information that can be found about this family with a long heritage as clubmakers.Dimensions:Height: 23.5cmWidth: 14cmDepth: 14cmMiniature clubs: length 22cm and 23cmThe stand has a hand painted golfer in full swing and St' Andrews.
