Daniel Slaman Guitars is known for its craftsmanship and attention to detail in building high-quality archtop and solid body guitars. Each guitar is handcrafted by Daniel Slaman himself, using the finest materials and traditional construction techniques. His instruments are praised for their exceptional sound, playability and aesthetic beauty, and are played by, among others, jazz great Pat Metheny.


This seven-string North Sea Swing has a body made of flamed maple, which is paired with a solid spruce top. In addition to the body, the glossy finish can also be found on the maple neck, and both also feature ivoroid binding. For the headstock, pickguard, bridge and tailpiece, Slaman used Coromandel, a stable type of wood that is related to ebony, but with a beautiful grain. Finally, the guitar is equipped with a floating neck pickup from Benedetto, making the North Sea Swing the ultimate jazz guitar!


The guitar was built in 1997 and is in excellent condition. There are playwear marks on the top, including some dings. There are also light playwear and a few dings on the body, with very light weather checking in some places in the lacquer. Overall, however, the guitar is very clean.
