Ease of Use — 10
Easy to use, just follow the manual... But if you can't get one, the DigiTech site has it where you can download it. I have the first edition of it, I'm keeping mine stock just like a classic car, for the sake posterity. The sounds of these classic units from DigiTech, to me, have a more convincing tube amp tone that is lacking in many of the new rack units of today. Many of the newer units don't have the dynamics that I love to have when I manipulate the volume or tone knobs on the guitar. A salesman at Guitar Center told me that the 2112 is very very soon, going to become a collectors item, as well as my RP-1 and 12. If any of you see them on eBay, jump on it, these are only going for under $500.00, US dollars.
Sound — 10
I play blues, 1980's metal, shred/neo classical metal, thrash, speed metal, classic rock ('60s, '70s, '80s) and fusion instrumental music. I'm running some old DigiTech RP-1 and RP-12 into the 2112. The RP-12 handles all the Distortion/Overdrive, with light modulation, the RP-1 handle the majority of the modulation (Chorus, Flanging), reverbs and delays.

I use the 2112 mainly as an amp head with light modulation, delay and reverb. The amp simulations I created are: Soldano Slo 100, VHT: Pittbull, Deliverance, Carvin X-100B, Legacy 1, 2, 3, and V3, Marshall: JCM 800, 900 and Mode Four, Mesa Boogie Mark 3, Mark 4 and Mark 5, Randall RG 80, War Head and RG 100, Fender Princeton, Bassman and Super Twin
