Beschrijving

This beautiful kettle has a unique melodic whistle which was inspired by the barges Sapper heard as a child on the Rhine. When the water gets hot, you will hear a gentle chord of two pitches – E and B. This is a rare early original version of the kettle with the copper base. Remarkably, it is in perfect condition and shape without any scratches (see pictures)

Richard Sapper (1932-2015) is an internationally celebrated designer, known for his unique sensibility style.
Sapper’s education was diverse—he studied philosophy, anatomy, and engineering, but graduated with a degree in business from the University of Munich.
