De Adaptec eSATA II RAID 1225SA-kaart is een eSATA, twee-poorts, PCI Express x1-controller met Adaptec HostRAID™ - een geïntegreerde RAID-technologie die de systeemprestaties en uptime maximaliseert. De Adaptec 1225SA ondersteunt maximaal twee direct aangesloten 3Gb/s eSATA-apparaten (of één direct aangesloten apparaat plus één Port Mulitplier Sil3726), Native Command Queuing, en biedt RAID-niveaus 0, 1 en JBOD (individuele schijf). De 48-bits logische blokadressering (LBA)-ondersteuning maakt het gebruik van schijfstations met een capaciteit van meer dan 137 GB mogelijk.
