The Dell PN3W9 is a chassis cooling fan tray assembly designed for use in Dell PowerEdge R720 and PowerEdge R720xd rackmount servers. This assembly houses multiple highvelocity blowerstyle fans that work together to generate directed airflow through the server chassis, cooling critical components such as CPU heatsinks, memory modules, power supplies, and other internal hardware. The fan tray is hotswappable and connects via a proprietary 4pin PWM fan connector so the server’s thermal management system can monitor fan speed and adjust cooling as needed.
